1. Due to cost issues, it cannot be provided for free. Therefore, to use OpenAI for translation, you need to recharge your balance on the recharge page: https://yd.transduck.com/admin/settings/plans, and this feature can only be used by members.
2. For YouTube subtitles, only the subtitles with the yellow button and the subtitles with the green button optimized by the plugin are supported for OpenAI translation. The reason is that the built-in red subtitles are too poor in quality, which avoids wasting tokens.

The model used is gpt-3.5-turbo, and the billing method is the same as OpenAI's.

Caching

In order to help everyone save the cost of watching videos, we have cached the results of OpenAI translation. If you have recharged your balance and happen to hit the video subtitles that have been translated before, it will not be translated repeatedly to avoid wasting tokens.

How much does it cost to watch a video?

Taking a 28 minute video as an example, it costs $0.027. This can only be used as a reference because the number of subtitles and the frequency of speech in each video may be different.

Explanation for Not Providing Custom API Keys

1. Previously, I have seen comments in other plugins where users suspected that their key balance was reduced and suspected that the plugin was abused, although it is highly unlikely to happen, but I don't want to be associated with these issues.
2. Many users' keys, due to not being recharged, only have an initial balance of $5, which often leads to rate limiting when using the plugin (the earliest version of the plugin had used GPT translation for a period of time and encountered this problem).
3. In the future, we may switch to better and more cost-effective models, or even non-OpenAI models, but I don't want to maintain multiple AI models at the same time.
